Carnival Queen

Each year, Saint Lucia’s most talented and alluring  ingénues compete for the opportunity  to reign for one year as National Carnival Queen, representing the island at the prestigious Jaycees and Caraval pageants across the region.

This year’s showing celebrates the pageant’s 53rd anniversary, and features the addition of specialized judging criteria, geared at readying the queen apparent for immediate immersion into a year of glamour as Saint Lucian Royalty.

This year’s pageant takes place on Saturday July 2nd 2106 at the National Cultural Centre from 7 pm. 

Eligibility Requirements 

Contestants must:

  1. Be a citizen of Saint Lucia
  2. Be between 18 to 25 years
  3. Not be married and have never been married
  4. Not be pregnant and have never borne a child
  5. Possess a minimum of 5 CXC passes at grades 1, 2 and/or 3 (Including English & Mathematics)
  6. Be able to perform a talent of high standard (e.g. Dance, Drama, Music etc)
